Dr. Wernick graduated from NSU School of Optometry, followed by specialized residency training in Vision Therapy at SUNY College of Optometry. Additionally, he holds FCOVD accreditation, awarded to doctors with special focus in Vision Therapy.
From there, he spent over 10 years working in a successful private practice specialized in vision therapy and rehabilitation.
He now has ventured to opening his own practice, where he strives to uphold the same excellence in patient care.
In his free time, Dr. Wernick enjoys playing soccer and watching his favorite baseball team, The Mets.
Peter Spiak is a dedicated professional with a robust background in vision therapy and mental health counseling. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brooklyn College and currently pursuing his MA in Mental Health Counseling. Warm and compassionate, Peter Spiak brings a unique blend of psychological insight and hands-on expertise to the field of vision therapy.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Peter has shown a strong commitment to community service, exemplified by his time as a Patient Navigator in the Volunteer Program at Bellevue Hospital and his community outreach efforts with his local church. These experiences have not only enriched his understanding of patient care but have also allowed him to give back to his community in meaningful ways.
In his leisure time, Peter is an avid explorer of the cultural tapestry of Brooklyn and enjoys engaging in activities that challenge both the mind and body. The outdoors are a place that he refers to as a second home.
Ananda Long is a writer and theater artist originally from Philadelphia, PA, having moved to New York to study playwriting at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. With a background in arts administration, Ananda brings an innate understanding of how necessary it is to exercise boundless empathy when working to make life changing services accessible, whether these needs are medical, social, or artistic.
An emphasis on accessibility is a guiding factor in all of Ananda's professional pursuits, and so she is excited to work in a practice that shares this belief.
Outside of her professional life, Ananda continues to immerse themselves in the New York theater scene, and keeps busy by writing plays, directing, and exploring prose as well. For fun, Ananda can be found visiting museums and galleries, going to stand up comedy shows, and exploring nature throughout the boroughs.
